The Process


Now, you need to go to the control panel of your computer. Go to System & Security -> Security & Maintenance-> Recovery. You might need to enter your admin password. Once you have done that, you would get a dialog box. Click on ‘Back on System Files to the Recovery Drive’ on the dialog box. This would create the boot-able Windows 10 Recovery Drive.

Using the USB Key


To use the USB Key, you would need to boot from it. In most cases, you would have to press one of the Function Keys (F- Keys) to go to the boot menu. From here, you can select the USB Key and then safely boot from it.

Once you do that, you would get two options – Recover from a Drive and Advanced Options. Click on the ‘Recover from a Drive’ Option to reinstall windows from the USB Key. The Advanced Options would have several options such as System Restore, System Image Recovery, System Repair, Command Prompt and Go Back to Previous Built.
